Part 2: Winging it – Top-down Set-in Sleeves with Monica MacFarland
After knitting the body of your garment, stitches around the armhole are picked up and knitted in short rows to create a seamless sleeve. This is pure knitting magic.

In Part 1 Monica taught us how to knit the shoulders of a sweater. She said that the shoulder measurements may be the most important measurement when constructing our sweaters. She told us exactly where to take our measurements. She explained how short-rows can be very helpful in creating the perfect fit. There are several shoulder techniques, such as the set-in sleeve, raglan sleeve, saddle shoulder and the yoke sweater. Monica brought examples from her personal collection of sweaters.
