Gathering at the Wool Gathering.

Wool is really something to celebrate. It has so many good qualities. Keeps you warm. Drys quickly. Fire retardant. Smells bad when it’s wet (only bad thing I can think of). Looks good. Feels good. Knitters love it, plus everything that goes with it. Don’t miss this event. I couldn’t. I’ll be knitting anyway. Meet me there at 10 am. I love the rope making and the sheep herding with ducks. I have a lot of yarn. If I started knitting now I would not be able to knit all of the yarn that has found its way into my life. Ive got enough yarn to last me a life time. That is if I live to be 100. I’m knitting a bullet proof baby jacket. This yarn was from Kay Wolff’s stash. It’s kind of stiff. It’s made of acrylic. Wool Gatherings are a whole other thing. I’ve been into jackets since I went to a Gwen Bortners, How to knit a jacket workshop. All the gals from the Dayton Knitting Guild will be at the Wool Gathering at Youngs Jersey Dairy this weekend. Come set a spell. Everyone will be knitting at our booth. I may surprise myself and come early. Maybe I’ll have this sweater done. It’s for Elizabeth on her 1st birthday. I knitted the 18 months size. We’ll see if it fits her. I’m using all of my knitting training to create this Hoodie. I’m getting 4 stitches to the inch. Even made a IMG_2747swatch. I-Cord has been a challenge.
Come to the Wool Gathering where every knitter feels at home.
